Governor Punjab chairs UET’s 40th Senate meeting

Lahore- The 40th meeting of the Senate of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore was chaired by the Governor /Chancellor of the University Engr. Muhammad Baligh-Ur-Rehman.

Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Habib-Ur-Rahman, Registrar Muhammad Asif, members of the UET Senate, Deans of all Faculties, Chairpersons of various departments and Public Relations Officer attended the Senate meeting. In the meeting, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the measures taken for the improvement of the students, faculty members, staff and the university, while Treasurer Imran Babar presented the budget approved by the Syndicate for the financial year 2023-24, which was approved.

In the UET Senate meeting, industry academy linkages and other issues of the university were also discussed.

Addressing the meeting, Governor Punjab said that UET is a prestigious institution of the country. He assured his full cooperation to resolve the suggestions and problems which were mentioned by the members in the meeting. Governor Punjab directed the Vice Chancellor to immediately form a committee to explore measures to reduce the financial deficit in the budget of UET.
