Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman Friday paid a surprise exclusive visit to the Planning and Development (P&D) Department, Civil Secretariat to ascertain the hurdles and irrelevant obstacles in establishment of Gemstone Laboratory and Technical Training Center in the province.
The Governor arrived at office of Secretary P&D department Sultan Tareen and showed his serious concerns over the unnecessary delay and non completion of relevant departmental procedure in setting up the lab yet.
During the meeting, the Governor said that the gemstone Laboratory was supposed to be established in the month of June.
Expressing disappointment, the Governor said that it was one of the best public interest initiatives which would not only bring economic prosperity in the province but also generate jobs opportunities for youth.
He said the purpose of his visit was to highlight the importance of this initiative which is directly linked with huge potential of precious minerals and Gemstone in the province.—Staff Reporter
