Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori has announced that Friday will be observed as a day of thanksgiving to commemorate the recently reached ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Expressing relief over the truce and the release of hostages, Tessori acknowledged the immense sacrifices made by thousands of Palestinians, which he said paved the way for the agreement. “The real challenge now is to prevent Israel from continuing its occupation of Palestine,” he remarked, emphasizing the need for the return of displaced Palestinians to their homes.

Tessori called upon Muslim nations to actively support the resettlement of Palestinians and underscored the urgency of resolving the core issue. “Peace will remain elusive until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state,” he said.

The governor also commented on Donald Trump’s role, urging him, as a self-proclaimed advocate of peace, to contribute to resolving the decades-long Palestinian conflict.
