KARACHI – Gold rates in Pakistan registered upward trend on Monday amid rising global prices as demand for the yellow metal has intensified.
According to Sarafa Association, per tola gold price surged by Rs200 to reach Rs275,700 while the rate of 10-gram moved up by Rs171 to settle at Rs236,368.
In international market, the price of the yellow metal increased by $3 as per ounce rate settled at $2,659.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged in Pakistan as per tola rate and 10-gram prices stood at Rs3,050 and Rs2,614.88, respectively.
On Saturday, per tola gold price inched up by Rs1,600, setting at Rs275,500 while the price of 10grams of gold also climbed to Rs1,372, bringing it to Rs236,198.
This upward trend in gold prices is causing concern among investors and potential buyers, raising questions about the future of the precious metals market.
