Gold prices in Pakistan remain stable – Check latest rates on August 12

KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan remained stable during first session of the new business week on Monday despite rising global prices.

According to Sarafa Association, per tola gold was traded at Rs256,500 without any change while the price of 10-gram stood at Rs219,907.

In international market, the precious commodity saw an increase of $9 to settle at $2,439 per ounce.

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged at Rs2,850 per tola and Rs2,443.41 per 10-graim.

On the other hand, petrol prices in Pakistan are expected to see a significant dip in upcoming fortnightly review on August 15.

The federal government would announce the revised petroleum prices on Thursday, with new rates coming into effect from Aug 16.

Reports said the petrol price likely to be reduced by up to Rs9 per litre and diesel price by Rs8 per litre in order to provide relief to masses.

Furthermore, the price of kerosene oil likely to drop by Rs12 per litre. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is working on the recommendations to be presented to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for approval.
