KARACHI—Gold prices in Pakistan increased significantly on Thursday, reflecting a rise in international rates. The price of gold per tola reached Rs282,800 in the local market, following a single-day increase of Rs2,300.
According to the rates provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10 grams of gold were sold for Rs242,455, an increase of Rs1,971.
On Wednesday, the price of gold per tola had already risen by Rs3,100 in Pakistan.
The international gold rate also rose on Thursday, with APGJSA reporting a price of $2,716 per ounce (with a premium of $20), reflecting a gain of $23 during the day. Meanwhile, silver rates remained stable at Rs3,450 per tola.
