Islamabad: After three sessions of price increase, gold dipped marginally on Thursday.
The price of gold on Wednesday decreased by Rs350 per tola and Rs301per 10 grams to settle at Rs153,150 and Rs131,301, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
Before falling on Thursday, the price of the precious commodity increased by Rs2,300 per tola during the previous three sessions.
It is also important to note that Pakistan fulfills its gold demand by importing the precious commodity. Therefore, the rise and fall in the price depend upon many factors, like prices in the international market, the PKR to the USD exchange rate, and the demand and supply in domestic markets.
However, the price of gold in the international market remained constant at $1,708. Similarly, the price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained constant at Rs1,660 and Rs 1,423.18 respectively.
