KARACHI – Unrest in Middle East and Western Asia peddled gold rates in international market, and the rate soared to $2,400 per ounce. The rally also affected gold prices in Pakistan, and the rates now stand at Rs250,000 per tola.
Gold Rates in Pakistan
The price of gold touched new high amidst soaring geopolitical tensions. Per tola soared to all-time high of Rs249,700, up Rs2,400 in a single day.
Meanwhile, 10-gram gold rate rose increased to Rs214,077, with hike of Rs2,057.

Globally, gold price climbed to $2400 and then settled at $2,391 per ounce. Notably, the previous all-time high for gold in Pakistan was Rs247,600 on April 9, coinciding with a record increase in the international rate.
