SaeedGhani, the President of the Karachi division of the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Provincial Minister for Local Government in Sindh, has emphasized that the killing of ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a judicial murder, acknowledged even by the Supreme Court for the lack of justice served to the late leader.
Ghani made these remarks while addressing a gathering at the People’s Secretariat in Karachi, held in remembrance of ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary.
The event, which included Quran recitation and prayers, was attended by Syed Waqar Mehdi, the General Secretary of the PPP Sindh, Dr. ShahidaRahman, President of Women’s Wing Karachi, Colonel AsadAlamNiazi, Asif Khan, FarhanGhani, Lala Rahim, Yasmeen Butt, Sarwar Ghazi, and other party officials and workers. Speaking at the occasion, SaeedGhani highlighted that the 45th death anniversary of Shaheed Bhutto was observed differently this year due to Ramadan. Instead of April 4, the central commemoration ceremony will now be held in Larkana on April 14, as per the directives of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari. Ghani stressed that despite observing the anniversary for 44 years, this year’s 45th anniversary holds particular significance.
He reiterated the Supreme Court’s acknowledgment that ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto was subjected to judicial murder. He further mentioned that President Asif Ali Zardari had sent a reference to the Supreme Court, expressing confidence that justice for ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto has been served.
Addressing the gathering, Syed Waqar Mehdi likened the growing tree visible at the venue to ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s efforts and love, stating that the tree symbolizes that the martyr’s blood will never go in vain. The ceremony concluded with Dr. Allama Shah FerozeuddinRahman leading the recitation of Fateha.
