Free eye camp held in district Karak

On the request of local elders and community, MOL Pakistan Oil & Gas Company B.V., in collaboration with the implementation partner Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Kohat, conducted a free eye camp in district Karak where a large number of residents received the required treatment.

The one-day camp was arranged at the Government Primary School, Bakha Banda located in tehsil Banda Daud Shah. Medical team comprising of specialist doctors, refractionists and supporting staff from Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Kohat provided services at the camp. OPD of the camp remained operational for the whole day where patients including senior citizens, men, women and children got appropriate treatment.

As per their condition, most of the patients were provided with spectacles and medication after a detailed check up. Some of them were referred to hospital for further investigation and some were taken to the Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital for surgery. In his message, Ali Murtaza Abbas, MOL Group Regional Vice President for Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan said, “MOL Group is a responsible corporate entity that has always supported the health and well-being of our local communities in Pakistan through our social welfare funding and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Over the request of our local communities, we arrange these free eye camps with great responsibility and effort for the benefit of countless patients over the years across Karak, Kohat, and Hangu.”
