The Pakistan Army led security forces during an intense shootout with the terrorists in North Waziristan Tribal district have mowed down two hardcore terrorists.
The heavy exchange of fire between the militants and the security forces, as the reports say, took place between terrorists and security forces in the outskirts of North Waziristan on the night between Saturday and Sunday. While the forces effectively engaged terrorists in the area, the gunfight resulted in the killing of at least two insurgents.
The forces also seized weapons and explosives from the militants. “On night between 6 and 7 April, fire exchange took place between the security forces and terrorists in North Waziristan District. Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which two terrorists were sent to hell. Weapons and explosives were also recovered from them”. Says an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) communiqué issued on Sunday.
It said the sanitization operation was being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area and the Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country.
Earlier on Saturday too the security forces and the Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs), it may be recalled, in a couple of Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) conducted in Dera Ismael Khan (DIK) have gunned down at least ten wanted terrorists.
