The Security forces in a covert operation conducted in D I Khan Tuesday gunned down a most wanted terrorist and a target killer involved in several acts of terrorism.
Reports say the Pakistan Army led security forces, that have been conducting operations in the area to purge the terrorists and the anti-state elements from the region, sprung into action on the exchange of information and acted against a highly valued target.
Reports, as confirmed by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), said during the covert operation an intense exchange of fire ensued between the security force and the militants that ended up in gunning down the most wanted and dangerous terrorist namely Mohammad Sohail.
According to ISPR the killed terrorist Sohail was involved in a number of subversive activities and target killing of innocent citizens and men in uniform.
The ISPR Communiqué said adding the locals of the area have highly appreciated the forces action against the terrorists and extended their fullest cooperation to the Security forces in elimination of terrorism from the region and ensure lasting peace in the area.
