The Pakistan Army led Security Forces have gunned down four more terrorists (Khwarij) in two separate operations conducted Wednesday late night and on Thursday in Bannu district and the North Waziristan tribal district.
An intense exchange of firing between the Pakistan Army led Security force and the terrorists during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in the North Waziristan Tribal district on Wednesday, it may be recalled, had led to the killing of at least two militants or Khwarij, a termed mostly used for the terrorists from Afghanistan infiltrated into Pakistani territory.
“On 9-10 October 2024, four Khwarij were killed in two separate operations conducted by Security Forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On October 9, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area JaniKhel, Bannu District on the reported presence of Khwarij. During the conduct of the operation, after an intense exchange of fire, two Khwarij were sent to hell”, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a communiqué issued on Thursday.
In another operation, conducted in general area Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District on 10 October 24, ISPR said, own troops effectively engaged Khwarij location and in ensuing fire exchange, two more Khwarij were sent to hell.
It said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as abductions and target killing of innocent civilians.
