Regional Police Officer Ehsan Tufail has said that fool proof security is being ensured to the processions and Majalis being held in conmection of Muharram ul Haram. Religious scholars must play their vital role in promoting religious harmony among all and must shun hatred and differances. He said this while talking to newsmen during his visit to Imambargah Punjtani in Attock.
He was accompnied by DPO Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bokhari, ASP Waqas Khan, CSO Muhammad Naeem and SHO City Haji Gulzar. RPO said that the organisers of processions and majalis must ensure following code of conduct and must cooperate with those providing them security. He said that thise trying to spread hatred and sectarianism were being handled with iron hand and so for more than five persons had been booked for spreading hatred and sectarianism on social media. RPO directed DPO Attock to redress the grievances and reservations of the mourners if any.
On the occassion DPO said more than two thousand cops and police razakars had been deputed while other fool proof decurity arrangements had also been made to ensure the safety of the mourners of the Aashura. Earlier President Anjuman Janisaran Hussain Imambargah Punjtani Syed Raza Haidar Naqvi apprised the DPO about the security arrangements being made by police for the Imambargah. He assured the RPO that code of conduct will be followed strictly and all type of cooperation will be extended to police.
