Fog update for Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather for Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next two days.

As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday evening/night, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Partly cloudy and extremely cold weather is expected in upper districts.

Dense fog/smog is likely to persist in Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and surroundings.

Dense fog will may disrupt traffic on inter and intra-city roads.

In Peshawar, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 02-04 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 03-05 C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Extremely cold weather persisted in upper districts.

Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped 05 C below freezing.

In Peshawar, the minimum temperature was recorded at 02 C.

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 91 per cent.

Dense fog/smog prevailed in plains which disrupted traffic on inter and intra-city roads.
