Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has appreciated the United Nations’ partnership under the UN-Pakistan framework to advance socio-economic development in the country.
He was talking to the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Pakistan, Julien Harneis, who called on him in Islamabad Wednesday. During the meeting, they discussed Pakistan-UN cooperation including in development and humanitarian domains. The foreign minister particularly appreciated the world body’s assistance to Pakistan following the devastating floods in the country.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan was an active member of the United Nations and reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue to play an active role at international forums.
