The experts and key stakeholders have discussed the fortes and flaws in the provincial Sindh Water Policy and provided water-related productive feedback to make it publicly beneficial. These views were expressed by the water experts on Thursday while addressing the ‘Provincial Policy Dialogue” on Sindh Water Policy and its Nexus with DRR and Climate Change at Indus Hotel Hyderabad jointly organized by SIDA, LHDP and Indus Consortium in collaboration with Oxfam Pakistan.
The event was participated by a large number of Government officials including representatives of Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority (SIDA), Sindh Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), Academic Institutions, water user association members, small farmers, local leading growers, representatives of Civil Society organisations, water experts and media representatives.
Speaking at the ‘Provincial Policy Dialogue’ event, experts including Professor Dr Ismail Kumbhar, Dr. Zakir Hussain Daheri, Ghulam Mustafa Ujjan, Qural Ain Rizwan, Raheema Panhwar, Parvez Babhan.
