Amraiz Khan Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan on Thursday criticized the Pakistan Democratic Movement, saying that the alliance has been spreading negative propaganda against the country. “Those who said they will resign from the assemblies did not resign, but their intellect has resigned,” she wrote in tweet and added that the PDM failed in its efforts to spread negative propaganda against national security agencies, friendly countries, and CPEC. She claimed that the “broken” alliance in its lust for power has only been telling people lie and It is bringing disgrace to the country. Meanwhile, SACM Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that welfare of the common man is a priority of the government and Prime Minister Imran Khan has been continuously striving for welfare of the general public. The establishment of shelter homes is an important step towards establishment of a welfare state. These views were expressed by Special Assistant to CM during a visit to shelter home near the shrine of Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh on Thursday. Addressing the media, Dr Firdous said that Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is endeavoring to carry forward the vision of PM and welfare programmes like shelter homes are the best example of public service. It is responsibility of the government to provide board and lodging to the homeless, she further said. The Special Assistant said that insensitive rulers compounded the difficulties of the people in the past but the PTI government is developing the best system to facilitate the hapless strata. She said on the one hand, shelters homes are being set up to serve the suffering humanity and on the other hand, Avonfield flat, Jati Umrah palace and surrey palace have been constructed. Dr Firdous said the PTI government is providing Sehat Insaf Cards to the people for the best treatment facilities but despite ruling for many years, both the PPP and the PML-N couldn’t construct a single hospital in Pakistan where members of the royal family get themselves treated. She said as Chairman Kashmir Committee, why Maulana didn’t announce the invasion of occupied Kashmir adding that the example of Nawaz Sharif and Zardari is like a cat that swallows its own children when in trouble. Zardari and Nawaz Sharif will also crush Maulana under their feet when they face any difficulty, she further said. The special assistant said that Imran Khan and the Army Chief are on the same page as they aim to eradicate terrorism from the country. She said under the patronage of Usman Buzdar, best facilities are being provided to the people living in the shelter homes. During the visit, the Special Assistant also interacted with the people and asked them about the facilities being provided in the shelter home.
