The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Gujranwala Immigration team raided and intercepted a wanted accused by the FIA’s Anti-Terrorist Wing at Sialkot Airport on Sunday. The accused, identified as Wahab, was trying to flee to Qatar on a private airline when he was apprehended by the FIA team.
According to an FIA spokesperson, Wahab was wanted in a terrorism case registered against him by the Anti-Terrorism Wing. His name was also included in the stop list, which is a list of individuals who are prohibited from leaving Pakistan.
The FIA spokesperson said that Wahab has been referred to the Counter-Terrorism Wing, FIA for further investigation. The FIA’s raid and interception of Wahab is a significant achievement in the fight against terrorism in Pakistan.—INP
