President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Engr Hafiz Ihtasham Javed has said that the Chamber will play its pivotal role for the immediate shifting of grain market from congested city area to the outskirts for its future expansion, however in this connection Grain Market Association must identify the availability of suitable land around the city with well connection roads and rail links.

Addressing a special meeting of the office-bearers of the grain market association held in FCCI on Tuesday, he expressed satisfaction over the realistic, positive and holistic attitude of the commission agents and said that they are fully aware of the traffic environment and other related civic issues due to the presence of grain market in thickly populated city area.

“They are voluntarily opting for the shifting of Grain Market outside the city where they could have sufficient space to further expand the market”, he remarked.

Engr Hafiz Ihtasham Javed assured that their problems would be resolved on top priority basis without any inordinate delay.

Similarly, he will also discuss the issue for the shifting of pulses grinding (Dal) factories to the M3 industrial city.

Explaining the services of the chamber being extended to its members, he said that we are bound to resolve the problems confronted by the business community.

He said that recently FCCI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PIA under which 17% concession in air fare will be accorded to the FCCI members and their families.

He further said that a dedicated facilitation desk for FCCI members has also been established in the district office of the PIA.
