Following the Audit Policy-2019, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will hold parametric computer balloting here on Friday (September 18) to select cases for audit for the Tax Year-2018.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and Chairman FBR, Muhammad Javed Ghani are also scheduled to address the balloting ceremony.
The board had approved the Audit Policy-2019, pertaining to Tax Year-2018, during the last week of August 2020, FBR sources said adding that the policy would apply to persons or classes of persons falling under all or any of the three domestic Federal Tax Statutes i.e. Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990, and Federal Excise Act 2005.—APP
