Punjab Minister for Information & Culture Mian Aslam Iqbal has regretted that a letter attributed to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) is circulating at social media sites in which people have been goaded and seminaries’ students are instigated to join the so-called Azadi March with bamboo sticks.
Maulana Sahib should shun such type of politics of chaos, he maintained. Peaceful demonstration is the right of everybody but if anyone tried to indulge in violent protest then the law will come into action and they will be treated in accordance with the law. He added that Peoples Party and PML-N have made a good decision of staying away from Maulana’s march.
The Provincial Minister expressed these views while talking to media men during an open court at his camp office on Monday. He listened to the problems of the people and issued on the spot instructions. Talking on the occasion, the information minister said that solving public problems is the first priority of the government and added that open courts are being held so that problems of the general public could be solved at the earliest.
He pointed out that Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman continuously remained the chairman of the Kashmir Committee for many years but he showed no concern for the solution of the core issue of Kashmir. Now, Maulana has to bear his expenses personally as he is out of power corridors and this has financially burdened him, said Aslam Iqbal.
He emphasized that the real motive of Maulana’s so-called March is not the solution of public problems but something else.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has vigorously projected Kashmir issue at every international forum but Maulana is trying to hoodwink the nation so as to divert world’s attention from the plight of hapless Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir, he added.
The minister said that Maulana should realize that Pakistan is going through a difficult phase and his agenda will not be fulfilled.
Mian Aslam Iqbal said that the PTI does not believe in the politics of chaos. Maulana sahib should also avoid it and stay away from instigating the people. He said that the donations, being collected in the name of Azadi March, would end up in Maulana’s pocket and this may help improve his financial health.
The government wants to solve problems through dialogue and the message has also been delivered through the platform of media but Maulana has some other problem
