Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has asked United Kingdom to handover former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain to Pakistan. The former information minister Fawad Chaudhry said that both Nawaz Sharif and founder of MQM are wanted by courts in Pakistan and stay of both accused in United Kingdom (UK) is against basic principle of Justice.
Earlier, the foreign ministry wrote a letter to the British government seeking the deportation of Nawaz Sharif, who is currently in London for medical treatment. Nawaz Sharif went to UK in November 2019 after court ordered federal government to remove his name form Exit Control List (ECL).—INP
