Farmers face acute water shortage

Lambardar of Sandu Chak Sohail Sandu, Asgar Ranjha of Village Khumb and Nadir Khan Gondal of village Wasu in a joint statement said that farmers of Mandi Bahauddin are facing acute shortage of irrigation water for sowing Rabih crops. They said Rabih crops sowing season starts in Oct and goes up to March. Unfortunately Upper Jhelum Canal was closed in September last year when it was breached due to earthquake.
