ISLAMA BA D Less than a week after meeting Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM office in Islamabad, head of Pakistan’s largest nonprofit ambulance and social service Edhi Foundation, Faisal Edhi, has been diagnosed with coronavirus. While sharing the news on his official social media account, Edhi has gone into self-quarantine here in the federal capital. During his meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan on April 15, Edhi had donated Rs10 million to Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund on behalf of his organization. Later the PM office released a picture too showing Edhi handing the cheque to the prime minister. Meanwhile, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Covid-19 Dr Faisal Sultan has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has agreed to get tested for the coronavirus after meeting with someone who tested positive for the virus. On Tuesday while sharing the news on his official Twitter account, Edhi announced he was tested positive of Coronavirus. However, he expressed hope that he would defeat the virus saying, “My nerves are strong and God willing with your prayers I shall recover soon and will return to serve the poor, the widows and the orphans.” Faisal Edhi also prayed in his post that Pakistan and the world at large might get rid of this pandemic.
