LAHORE – Embattled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to make history again as it is going to hold country’s first virtual political rally on TikTok, a widely popular video sharing app.

Earlier, Imran Khan-led party made the headlines when it shared a AI-Generated message of incarcerated founder of the party ahead of the general elections scheduled to take place on Feb 8.

The party has been facing tough time following the May 9 riots when PTI workers attacked military installations following the arrest of Imran Khan in a corruption case.

Khan has been banned from contesting elections due to conviction in the Toshakhana case while his party has lost its election symbol, the cricket bat.

The PTI is also facing restrictions in holding rallies for its elections campaign, prompting it to move towards technology.

After holding rallies on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, the party has now announced holding virtual rally on TikTok, which would be first of its kind in Pakistan.

The rally will be held at 9:00pm today.
