EFP, FUE sign agreement to enhance business relations

Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the importance of collaboration between employer organizations to enhance business relations and international investment.

At the signing of a Memorandum of Collaboration between the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) and the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) during the FoodAG exhibition, he expressed optimism about the potential for increased cooperation and partnership between the two entities.

The Memorandum was signed by Syed Nazar Ali, Secretary General of EFP, and Douglas Opio, Executive Director of FUE. The ceremony was attended by Chief Executive of TDAP Zubair Motiwala, former EFP President Majyd Aziz, Nooh Mayambala, Chairman of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce of Uganda, Shaffi Manafa, Head of Marketing at FUE, and A.Q. Khalil, former President of KCCI. Zubair Motiwala revealed that Pakistan’s exports of agricultural commodities are projected to exceed $10 billion by June 2026.

He noted the significant participation of nearly 800 foreign delegates at the FoodAG exhibition, underscoring the recognition of Pakistani products’ quality. Motiwala extended an invitation to FUE to organize a delegation of Ugandan employers to visit Pakistan, offering them a chance to explore the country’s economic progress and diverse product range. Majyd Aziz praised TDAP for its successful exhibition and highlighted the mutual goals of EFP and FUE within the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Nooh Mayambala expressed gratitude to the commerce minister and TDAP for their support and offered the Islamic Chamber’s services to further bilateral trade and investment
