A strong earthquake jolted several parts of Pakistan including Islamabad, Peshawar, Kohat, and Malakand among other cities.
The tremors were felt in other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The magnitude of earthquake was at 5.3, with parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and it occurred at 8:24pm.

The epicenter was said to be in the Hindu Kush region at a depth of 130km, and its coordinates at 70.19 East and 36.25 North. Tremors were felt in KP capital Peshawar and nearby areas.
