Dr Sania appeals masses not to panic

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar has said Prime Minister Imran Khan in his address to the nation last night regarding coronavirus situation gave a hope to the countrymen, which was need of the hour.
Taking part in a Special programme of “Radio Pakistan” the special assistant appealed the masses not to panic but must follow the precautionary measures being communicated by the government.
Dr Sania Nishtar said the government is taking all out efforts to cope with the situation in the country. Quarantine arrangements have been made to tackle the coronavirus. She urged the masses to avoid hand shaking and hugging and wash hands continuously as it is the only way to stay safe from the corona virus.
The special Assistant said ruled out lockdown of the federal capital due to the virus.
Dr Sania Nishtar appreciated the ample participation of callers in the program and said the suggestions of the people will be conveyed to the higher authorities.
The Special Assistant said religious scholars should come forward and play their role in this regard. She said 900 planned events of federal government were cancelled due to the corona virus.
Responding to a question she said strict action would be taken against those who disseminate fake news pertaining to the corona virus.
Responding to the questions of the people from across the country, Health Expert Dr Rana Jawad Asghar said death ratio of corona virus is only 3 percent so there is no need to be worried but precautionary measures should be followed.
