The DHQ hospital of Landikotal has turned into the shelter of stray dogs and one can see these dogs wandering with their baby dogs having skin diseases at the hospital premises. Few days ago, this scribe informed Dr. Zafar Ali, the DHO, district health officer and MS, medical superintendent of the above health institution about the presence of stray dogs inside the hospital.

The official promised to take out these stray dogs from the hospital, however after 20 days, these dogs are yet seen at the hospital premises. An eye witness said. Akhtar Ali Shinwari, an active social activist told this scribe that almost all departments of the hospital were functional and health staff was active during the tenure of Dr. Shirani, the former Ms (medical superintendent) of the hospital.

‘Cardiac ward is not functional and kidney dialysis facility is also not available yet’. He said and demanded that these departments should be made functional to facilitate the local patients. He criticized the current administration of the hospital for their poor performance and demanded the high ups to ensure best health facilities at the hospital.

He demanded to re-transfer Dr. Shirani to Landikotal, because his performance to ensure the health staff attendance at the hospital was satisfactory.
