Daylight murder attempt on rivals at busy road near sensitive buildings exposed poor security and respond of Attock Police on Friday.
Despite being located at the centre of the city and few yards away from district courts, office of deputy commissioner, district police officer and city Police station, two armed persons showered bullets over their rivals and fled successfully while police respond in day broad light armed assassination was not seen. Altaf Hussain and Abdul Sattar- both residents of Syiden of Hazro were coming to district courts Attock to appear before the local court in case registered against them in Hazro Police station.
As they reached kutchery chowk, their two rivals riding on a motorcycle showered bullets over them and fled from the crime scene successfully. Later rescue 1122 moved them to district headquarters hospital but later shifted to Rawalpindi due to critical condition. According to police, one of the injured identified Altaf is nominated accused in a murder case of Shahnawaz registered against him at Hazro Police station while he recently released on bail from Attock jail. Absence of any police official and no responds after the day broad light murder incident raises eye brows over the police patrolling at high sensitive area.
When contacted, spokesman of the district police has said that district Police officer Khalid Hamdani has took notice of the incident a formed a team led by ASP Saddar circle Jawad Ishaq comprising officials of elite force to trace the accused and bring them behind bars.
