Observer Report

Lahore

The PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz were presented before an accountability court in Lahore on Wednesday. The court adjourned the hearing of the money laundering reference till December 22 after the defence council crossed-examined two witnesses.
The court, presided over by Jawad-ul-Hassan, allowed Shahbaz Sharif to consult his personal physician for medical check-up, as he informed the judge that he had always paid expenses for treatment from his own pocket despite being entitled for government money given that he was a chief minister.
As a chief minister, not a single penny was claimed as TA/DA which reached to the tune of millions of rupees and he lived at his own house, not the official residence, said the PML-N president. He said that he was sharing the information only to explain and bring on record that how baseless allegations had been levelled against him.
