Pakistan has reported three deaths in the last 24 hours by the novel Coronavirus as the number of positive cases surged to 298,509 on Sunday and the tally of fatalities jumped to 6,342.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center 484 persons have been tested positive for Covid-19 in 24 hours.
Till now 130,483 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 97,166 in Punjab, 36,591 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,734 in Islamabad, 13,229 in Balochistan, 2,327 in Azad Kashmir and 2,979 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 2,422 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,210 in Punjab, 1,255 in KP, 144 in Balochistan, 175 in Islamabad, 71 in GB and 65 in Azad Kashmir.
Punjab has reported 48 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the government’s Covid-19 portal, taking the provincial tally to 97,166.
It has also confirmed two more fatalities from the virus, taking the provincial death toll to 2,210.
Sindh has recorded 188 new cases and one new death over the past 24 days, a statement from the chief minister’s office said.
