First of its kind, 3-day National Conference on Economic Development of Hazara was conducted in Comsats University Abbott abad. The event was hosted by Haji Iftikhar, Senior Vice President of FPCCI, Member BoD KPEZ DMC and KPBOIT in collaboration with World Bank and ERKF. KPEZ DMC, SMEDA and Comsats University facilitated the event.
The importance of the event can be gauged by the interests of various stakeholders as it was attended by Special Assistant to PM on Power Mr. Shahzad Qasim, Special Assistant to CM KP on Industries Mr. Abdul Kareem, Finance Minister KP Mr. Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Speaker Provincial Assembly Mr. Mushtaq Ghani, Sentaor Illyas Bilour, ex minister Yousaf Ayub, Secretary Industries Mr. Amer Latif, Secretary Mines and Minerals Mr. Syed Nazar Hussain Shah, Commissioner Hazara Mr. Zaheer Ul Islam, President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mr. Maqsood Anwar, KPEZDMC BoD Members Mr. Mohsin Raheem, Mr. Adnan Jalil, prominent industrialists and representatives of various governmental, industrialists’ bodies.
The focus of the event was on opportunities arising from Industries, Mines, Minerals, Education, Hydel Power, Tourism sectors.
