Comprehensive security plan chalked out for Eid

Attock Police have chalked out a comprehensive plan for security during Eidul Fitr under which 1059 police officials comprising six DSPs, 14 SHOs, 141 Subordinates 53 Head constables, 844 constables, 29 elite section and 707 volunteer would perform guard duty around worship places during Eid prayers.

District police officer Rana Shoaib mehmood while talking to newsmen said that district Police have finalized a comprehensive security and patrolling plan on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr besides augmenting security at public and worship places and important buildings to thwart any untoward incident. He said that police would guard as many as worship places for Eid prayers including 343 mosques, 13 Imam Bargahs and 13 open places to provide security to worshippers.

Responding a question, the DPO said that security plan has been chalked out in collaboration with district administration and other law enforcement agencies and elaborated measures planned for security outside all mosques and imambargahs and exit and entry points of the district. He said that all police officials have been directed to remain on high alert and fully prepared to avert any untoward situation during Eid days.

“All police officers have also been directed to personally patrol the areas of their jurisdiction to ensure the implementation of security measures”. He added. He said no person should be allowed to enter mosques or imambargahs without proper body search. Walk through gates should be installed in open places besides establishing car parking away from gathering places. He said no person or organization could collect fatrana without prior permission from the district administration as National Action Plan must be implemented in true spirit.
