Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, inaugurated the Tree Plantation Campaign organized by the Journalists Cooperative Housing Society, aligning it with the Commissioner Karachi Monsoon Plantation Campaign. The event saw Naqvi plant a tree at the society’s premises, symbolizing the start of the initiative. Additional Commissioner Karachi, Ghulam Mehdi Shah, Deputy Commissioner East, Shehzad Fazal Abbasi, and other officials were present. Naqvi commended the involvement of private institutions and NGOs in the city’s tree plantation efforts and expressed gratitude to the Journalists Cooperative Housing Society for their participation.
Naseer Hashmi, President of the Society, also spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of collective action in environmental conservation.
