Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Jam Kamal Khan chaired a meeting of Chief Minister Inspection Team (CMIT) to review overall performances of the CMIT regarding investigation report of various growth projects for the year 2018-2020. The meeting was attended by Parliamentary Secretary Dhanish Kumar, Chairman CMIT Haider Ali Shakwa, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Saboor Kakar, Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs Akbar Harifal, Secretary S & GAD Arshad Majeed, Special Secretary Finance and Director. General Public Relations Syed Zahid Shah and other concerned officials the other day said in press release issued here.
Briefing the meeting, the Chairman CMIT said that about 1137 development schemes have been inspected during the year 2018-2020 and 7 development schemes have been identified as irregularities and anti-corruption while 18 projects under investigation of National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He apprised the meeting that It has been recommended to take action against those responsible under the Bad Act involved in 82 as non-development schemes.
At least 72 developments of schemes of inquiries have been completed since 2018 till 2020 during the inspections, the official briefed the meeting saying the quality of 618 development schemes remained satisfactory while 127 schemes were declared unsatisfactory and 988 growth schemes were inspected during the current financial year. Balochistan is the first province to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the NAB Balochistan to get rid of corruption for ensuring transparency in order to ensure punishment of corrupt people.
