Jhang -On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Ahmed Mohal, World Water Day was celebrated in Jhang as well as across the country.
The purpose of which is to highlight the importance of water and its better use. Life is not possible without water.
In connection with World Water Day, a function was organized in the office of Deputy Director, Department of Water Management, Jhang.
Deputy Director, Department of Agriculture Akhtar Hussain, Deputy Director Social Welfare Azhar Abbas Adil, District Forest Officer Muhammad Nawaz Sial, Deputy Director Education Muhammad Ramzan, Sajid Chadhar, representatives of farmers and NGOs attended.
Addressing the function, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muhammad Sarwar Gujjar said that our country has the best irrigation system, water is a great blessing and its utility cannot be denied, we have made our water resources more secure and it to transfer these to new generation.
He said that steps have been taken for the supply of clean water in Jhang and water treatment plants are being set up on the sewerage system.
Dr. Muhammad Asif, Deputy Director, Water Management, said that the Irrigation Department has introduced a systematic system of irrigation using green technology, laser land level and modern methods.
Has made it possible to supply abundant production. Other speakers said that prevention of water problems and efficient use of water is a priority.
Every drop of water is important, we must all come forward to prevent its waste and make the best use of it.
