ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa on Monday refused an extension in his tenure.

In that meeting, it was mentioned that the tenures of all Chief Justices are being extended. I said, go ahead and extend others’, but I will not accept it for myself. I don’t even know if I’ll be alive tomorrow,”.

When asked about the matter of the letter by six judges not being scheduled for a hearing, the Chief Justice said that it is up to the committee to schedule the case. Justice Musarrat Hilali was unable to attend due to illness, which is why the bench could not be formed.
