Karachi is gearing up for an intense heatwave this week, driven by hot and dry winds originating from Iran and Afghanistan. Predictions from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) suggest that coastal areas of Sindh, including Karachi, may experience dust storms accompanied by strong winds on May 28th and May 29th. From May 29th to May 31st, Karachi and its neighboring areas are anticipated to face a notable surge in temperatures.
During this period, different parts of Karachi are likely to endure high temperatures, with coastal areas near the city projected to reach between 39-41°C.
