China’s Quanzhou region has emerged as most popular destination for promoting President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road initiative.
It is the most important contributor in China’s One Belt And One Road” initiative, said Zheng Shaobo, Deputy Secretary General of Quanzhou Municipal Party Committee, while giving a briefing to a media delegations from Pakistan and other regional countries.
The initiative brings many stake-holders closer to each other for consolidating collaborative partnership to achieve their common socio-economic goals.
Quanzhou is one of the first famous historical and cultural cities in China. It is the ancient “Marine silk road” a starting point of Quanzhou port “ that was known as the “Oriental first port”.
The United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization has identified it as “the world multicultural exhibition.
The delegation was apprised that there are over 9.5 million overseas Chinese from Quanzhou along the ancient silk road to the world, among whom 85% live in the country and region of Hester, while the resident population of Quanzhou is only 8.7 million.
