Former Federal Health Minister Saira Afzal Tarar inaugurated Chief Minister’s Clinic on Wheal at Hafizabad. Deputy Commissioner Sundas Irshad, CEO Health Umer Sharif Ratohor and DHO Faiq Ali Tarar were also accompanied by her. SairaAfzalTarar said on this occasion that Clinic on Wheal was a revolutionary and relief-oriented steps of the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz and under this programmee, health department would be held medical camp in city areas on daily basis whereas free of cost all medicines and other treatment facilities would be provided to the people at their doorsteps.
She said that the Punjab government was given 14 ambulances for Clinic on Wheal Programme and test facilities of ECG, ultrasounds, sugar, hepatitis B and C tests blood pressure etc. would be available in ambulances. CEO Health told that family planning camp with collaboration of Population Welfare and Health Departments would also be arranged to improve nutrition deficiency in pregnant women and children. He further told that a doctor, dispenser, nurse, LHV and other paramedical staff would be deputed with Clinic on Wheal each.
Meanwhile, polling to elect students councils in male and female high and elementary school held peacefully in the district Hafizabad, on Thursday. Deputy Commissioner SundasIrshad, CEO Education Muhammad Anwar Javed visited Government Double Section Girls High School and witnessed process of election. Principal of the School Madam ShahidaShamshad gave briefing about arraignments made for holding election of President, Vice-President, General Secretary and Finance Secretary of Students Councils.
CEO Education Muhammad Anwar Javed said that school councils will be responsible to assist school administration for promoting co-curriculum activities, promoting books reading, maintaining discipline of the schools and making efforts for resolving students’ problems with the help of school administration.
