Chahat Fateh Ali Khan in legal trouble for ‘defamation of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s legacy’

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani singing and comedy sensation Kashif Rana also famous as Chahat Fateh Ali Khan lands in hot water as the viral personality has been served legal notice for damaging legacy of iconic singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Chahat, who amassed millions of views, has been served legal notice by Qaisar Munir Khan for alleged defamation of ‘Shahenshah-e-Qawwali’.

The notice was issued to Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s residence in the United Kingdom by Mian Muhammad Umair Niaz on behalf of Qaiser Munir Khan.

It said a defamation lawsuit will be filed if Chahat Fateh Ali Khan does not respond within 15 days.

The legal notice stated that Chahat continued to disfigure Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s reputation, upsetting the people of Faisalabad, and violating copyright laws.

It also mentioned that Chahat falsely claimed to be related to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and that his singing has harmed Nusrat’s image. The notice demands public apology on social media, warning of legal action if no apology is issued within the stipulated time.
