In Punjab, Cement prices are expected to move up by Rs75 per bag due to a court stay order for local manufacturers, who must provide bank guarantees.
The expected surge is in response to new government-imposed royalty rates of 6 percent on ex-factory price of cement.
In Pakistan, leading industry players include Lucky Cement Ltd, the largest manufacturer, followed by DG Khan Cement Co. Ltd, Attock Cement, Kohinoor Cement, Power Cement, and Dewan Cement.
Other prominent names in the industry are Maple Leaf Cement and Bestway Cement.
