KARACHI – Cement sector in Pakistan remains under pressure as price saw back-to-back hikes with moderate demand. In sigh of relief for the construction industry, cement prices in Pakistan moved down.
Data shared by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows slight dip in prices which is being linked to positive impact on the construction sector. The drop in rates will also provide potential relief to those who are looking to start construction in near future.
Cement Latest Price in Pakistan
During the last week, the average retail price of cement per bag in northern cities of the country was recorded at Rs.1225. Similarly, in southern cities, the average retail price of cement per bag was recorded at Rs1200.
In capital Islamabad, cement bag rate was available at Rs1210, and Rs1199 in Rawalpindi. Gujranwala Rs. 1250, Sialkot Rs. 1240, Lahore Rs. 1280, Faisalabad Rs. 1240, Sargodha Rs. 1217, Multan Rs. 1216, Bahawalpur Rs. 1250, Peshawar Rs. 1200, and Bannu Rs. 1170.
Similarly, in Karachi, the average retail price per bag was Rs. 1168, Hyderabad Rs. 1180, Sukkur Rs. 1300, Larkana Rs. 1173, Quetta Rs. 1200, and Khuzdar Rs. 1177.
