Caretaker CM Punjab urged to solve flour shortage issue

Widespread rumours of wheat flour scarcity are also hovering in the inter provincial bordering district Attock as a result of strike call of millers on Monday after the warning of Secretary Food Punjab Mr. Zaman Fatoo on Sunday.

The Chairman Flour Mills Association Attock Mr. Atif Nadeem Mirza while expressing his strong concerns over the unjustified restrictions of Punjab Food Department has demanded of the Care Taker Chief Minister Punjab Mr.Mohsin Naqvi to intervene the serious matter preventing the province particular the people of Attock from another crisis of wheat flour created due to mismanagement of the top slot bureaucracy without taking cognizance of the ground realities.

Responding different questions of the media persons, he said they are bound to comply with the SOP for provision of grinded flour at the gate of flour mill on the prescribed rate list of the Government. He demanded of the provincial care taker government to provide security cover or withdraw the supply through truckers besides relaxing inter provincial and inter districts ban on movement of wheat flour with the permission for supply of wheat flour being grinded by the private millers.

He also warned of the provincial government to refuse grinding of quota based wheat flour by all the millers of the province from Monday February.
