The Chinese special envoy, Zhai Jun, met with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Waleed Al-Khuraiji, as part of his regional diplomatic tour following the recent escalation in hostilities between Israelis and Palestinians. Their discussions aimed at not only addressing the immediate crisis but also exploring the prospect of resurrecting the elusive two-state solution.
