LAHORE – People consuming electricity in jurisdiction of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) are likely to pay higher bills from July 2024 as Nepra base tariff would be increased by Rs5.72 to Rs35.50 per unit while Rs3.41 per unit would be added in wake of fuel cost adjustment.

Under the new proposed changes, both protected and non-protected consumers will have to pay additional taxes and surcharges.

If any Lesco customers consume 200-units in a month, the protected status will be changed to non-protected, significantly increasing the electricity bills.

The status of protected customers will be restored after period of six months if per month consumption drops below 200 units.
