Buzdar wakes up to Lahore problems Constitutes ministerial committee to resolve all civic problems

Taking notice of the problems confronted by the residents of the provincial capital, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has constituted a ministerial committee to resolve civic problems of the Lahore citizens.
Chairing a meeting in here on Sunday, Punjab CM Usman Buzdar said the committee will meet after every fifteen days in which concerned departments will present their progress report. Usman Buzdar also directed officials to develop a strategy to resolve parking issues and overcharging.
“A comprehensive plan is being evolved to resolve Parking issue in the city,” he said. It was also decided in the meeting that strict legal action will be taken against vehicles emitting smoke.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had launched LDA Insaf Web Portal and Mobile App to facilitate citizens to register their complaints or submit applications online without any hassle of having to visit the office of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
Speaking at the launching ceremony of the LDA insaf portal, he had termed this initiative an important step for redressal of citizens’ plaints without any impediment.
Besides, he elaborated, an online appointment can also be secured for visiting the LDA office with its help.
The chief minister had said the online portal will also facilitate online submission of various sorts of applications as well as court orders as citizens can also have their queries answered through it.
ONLY 57 OUT OF 60,000 TESTED DECLARED POSITIVE
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, taking to Twitter on Sunday, said the government conducted random sampling of as many as 60,000 people in 20 days after Eidul Azha, out of which a mere 57 turned out to be positive.
He said the ratio of Covid-19 positive cases out of the total 60,000 samples tested was only 0.16 per cent.
The chief minister urged people to continue taking precautions to prevent the resurgence of coronavirus cases.
The Punjab government today imposed “micro smart lockdown” in small neighborhoods of three cities for a period of fourteen days to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus that has affected over 96,000 people and killed 2,188 across the province.
The cities where localities have been sealed include Lahore, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. More than a dozen areas have been locked down in these cities, including Lahore’s twelve areas that reported 28 cases of late.
As many as 19,538 residents of the provincial capital will be under lockdown.
Rawalpindi’s three areas with a population of 947 people have been sealed after they reported seven coronavirus cases while two localities have been locked down in Gujranwala where 53 locals will be under lockdown.
More than a dozen areas have been locked down in these cities, including Lahore’s twelve areas that reported 28 cases of late. As many as 19,538 residents of the provincial capital will be under lockdown.
