A delegation of noted businessmen and investors led by President of the Islamabad Developers Association (IDA) and CEO The Centaurus Group, Sardar YasirI lyas Khan visited the Embassy of Azerbaijan to condole with Ambassador Khazar Farhadov the loss of precious lives in a plane crash occurred recently on Dec 25.
In the fateful incident 38 of 67 passengers on board were killed while 29 survived.
The delegation included Chairman Imarat Group, Mr. Shafiq Akbar; CEO Tesla Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Amir Hussain; MD, Khattak Sons Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Umais Khattak; Chairman of Ulema Aman Committee Dr Mufti Akeel Pirzada and Director Karachi Steel, Mr. Umer Hussain.
Together, they expressed their solidarity with the Azerbaijani people during this time of grief.
While condoling with Ambassador Khazar, Sardar Yasir held that the tragic loss of lives had deeply saddened them and they shared the grief with the Azerbaijani brothers and sisters. Pakistan has always had a strong bond with Azerbaijan and we extend our prayers for those affected by this disaster, he said.
The delegation also observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims and prayed for the blessings of the departed souls and conveyed their deepest sympathies on behalf of Pakistan’s business community.
The Azerbaijani ambassador appreciated the thoughtful gesture and acknowledged the deep friendship and mutual support shared between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. He also expressed gratitude for the delegation’s visit, stating that it underscores the enduring bond between the two nations.
